Welcome to Baylor!
Baylor University warmly welcomes international delegations from around the world, fostering deeper connection with global colleagues.
What is a Delegation? A "delegation" refers to any group representing a foreign academic, private, or governmental institution. This includes students, staff, faculty, government representatives, association members, or high-ranking individuals capable of officially representing their institution or group.
Requesting a Visit (International Visitors)
- Timing: Submit your request at least 4 weeks prior to your proposed visit date to allow us to organize a schedule that meets your needs. Requests submitted less than 4 weeks prior may not fully accommodate all your needs.
- Availability: Please note that availability may be limited during certain periods, such as Baylor University holidays and late December. Summer sessions (typically between May and August) may also affect visit feasibility due to faculty and university leadership availability.
- Language: We recommend at least one member of the visiting party be fluent in English for productive meetings. While we do not provide translation services, if a professional interpreter will accompany the delegation, please include them in your delegation member list.
- Logistics: International visitors are responsible for their own travel arrangements, accommodations, and transportation. For further information, please refer to Baylor’s visitor page on navigating campus logistics.
- Demand: Due to high demand, we may not be able to accommodate all delegation requests. We appreciate your interest and understanding.
Delegation visits should be requested at least four weeks in advance of the proposed visit date by using the

The Center for Global Engagement's Role in Visit Arrangements
The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) coordinates visits that align with strategic initiatives for the University. If guests are integral to a university strategic partnership, invited by the Vice Provost for Global Engagement, or are on the President or Provost’s leadership council, or are high-profile individuals crucial to advancing university-wide goals, CGE takes the lead. We collaborate closely with relevant schools, departments, and centers to ensure a successful visit.
For delegations not directly led by CGE, individuals, schools, and departments can still utilize CGE’s resources and expertise. This includes assistance in vetting, planning, executing, and following up with visitors and hosted delegations.
Prospective students and those seeking to request private group tours should visit the Office of Admissions.
