How to Apply to Global Scholars
Applying to Global Scholars is simple—and we’re here to help every step of the way.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and spots are limited. We encourage you to apply early to secure your place.
Each cohort is small (around 20–25 students), so applying early gives you the best chance of securing a spot.
Step 1: Apply to Global Scholars
Submit your Global Scholars application once you’ve been admitted to Baylor.
Applications open February 1, 2026 and will remain open until the cohort fills or the final deadline of June 1, 2026.

Step 2: Receive Your Decision
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so you may receive your decision shortly after applying.
We’re looking for students who are:
- Curious about the world and open to new experiences
- Excited to build community and start Baylor differently
- Motivated to grow academically and personally
Step 3: Confirm Your Spot
If accepted, you’ll complete a few simple steps to secure your place in the program:
- Submit your Baylor enrollment deposit
- Confirm your participation with the Global Scholars team
- Submit your $1,000 Global Scholars deposit (applied to your program fee)
Once confirmed, you’ll officially be part of the Global Scholars cohort.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be an incoming first-year student admitted to Baylor
- Be at least 18 years old by September 1, 2026
- Hold a valid passport before departure
- Have a minimum high school GPA of 2.5
Global Scholars is open to students of all majors. Some programs (such as Nursing or Engineering) may require additional planning.
What Happens Next?
After confirming your spot, you’ll begin preparing for your semester abroad:
- Attend Baylor Orientation (Session 8 recommended to meet your cohort) – Sign up now
- Register for classes
- Connect with other Global Scholars before departure (Zoom meetings this summer)
You’ll arrive in Liverpool already connected and ready to begin your experience.
