These events MUST be completed on-campus and intercultural in theme.

Take six credit hours from the GE course listing
These hours MUST be listed on the pre-approved list.
The updated list includes 1000-4000 level courses, but they must be completed on Baylor’s campus and NOT abroad if you are counting study abroad for your international engagement activity.
Are you taking a course, that you think should be considered for Global Engagement credit? Please talk with your professor about submitting it for approval from our office.
GBL 1101-1103 also counts -This would be 3 hours towards your 6 hour goal.
Join four semester-long experiential experiences (Book Club, Service Learning, or International Clubs and Orgs).
Examples of Service through an organization at Baylor, service within the Waco community, etc.
Examples of International Clubs and Organizations include the Baylor Italian Club, Baylor French Club, Japanese Student Association, Asian Student Association, etc.
Book Club is an opportunity offered by our office to read a globally themed book and meet over the course of a semester to discuss your thoughts. Please stay on the lookout for more information about our upcoming sessions.
COIL Class - COIL in an online collaboration between two instructors from separate international locations. The purpose of COIL is to develop intercultural competency skills through a shared learning environment. By helping students to engage and interact with one another, you are fostering cross-cultural dialogue and enhancing your own course content with a unique global dimension.
Complete one international engagement activity, such as a mission trip, study abroad program, international internship, and more!

Completed more than one experience abroad? Use a second experience as an experiential experience credit.
Important! – You must write a 3-4 sentence reflection for each submission and make sure our team knows why the event is global otherwise, it will be rejected.
