Application Process

Application procedures can vary by program. Students should consult the application instructions available within each application.

1. Attend a study abroad information session. 
2. After the session you will receive an email with a link to begin a Study Abroad Advising Application!
3. Log in using your Baylor ID and password.
4. Complete the list of requirements.
   • To complete each requirement of the application, click "Done" and the next item will automatically open.
   • Once you have completed at least one item, a progress circle will appear near the top of the page, tracking your progress towards completion.
5. Research the different program options and begin making an academic plan with your academic advisor. 
6. Make an appointment with a peer advisor, they will help you narrow down your choices and potentially open a program-specific application! 
7. Once you are ready, apply to a program by completing all listed requirements within the program-specific application. 
   • To complete each requirement of the application, click "Done" and the next item will automatically open.
   • Once you have completed at least one item, a progress circle will appear near the top of the page, tracking your progress towards completion.
8. Students applying to exchange, or affiliate programs will be asked to complete another application in addition to the BearsAbroad application. Please follow the timeline provided by your study abroad advisor.
9. Apply for scholarships available within your program application. Be sure to carefully read the eligibility requirements for each scholarship.
10. After all application requirements are complete, and your progress circle has been fully closed, a "Submit" button will appear at the top of the page. You must click the "Submit" button to finalize the submission of your whole application.
