Academic Success Courses for International Students
STL 1105: International Student Success
This 1-credit-hour course helps international students develop strategies for effective learning and productive self-management in their Baylor classes with emphasis on study skills like note-taking, test preparation, and time management. Students will meet weekly with the instructor for individualized, strategic academic success planning.

One section is available for the full 16-week semester and can be used to meet academic probation requirements.

One section will start at Week 8, determined by progress reports and student outreach.
STL 1205: Academic Success Strategies for International Students
This 2-credit-hour course is designed for international students struggling to succeed at Baylor and recommended for, but not limited to, those on academic probation. The class will offer support specifically designed for international students, including individualized goal setting, study skills and writing, as well as help with the necessary adjustments to American academic culture. This class meets twice each week along with weekly individualized student meetings with the instructor.
