Baylor Journalism Public Relations & New Media Study Abroad Interest Session II
We are excited to announce a new Baylor JPR&NM Study Abroad program launching this summer, which will take students and faculty to Vienna, Austria. The program, themed “Communicating with Global Audiences,” will run from May 26 to June 27, 2025, spanning five weeks.
This program is thoughtfully designed to balance academic rigor with enriching cultural experiences, allowing students to fully immerse themselves in Austria's unique culture. Vienna, the capital and most populous city of Austria, has been recognized as the most livable city in the world for three consecutive years. Situated in Central Europe, it lies between Germany, Italy, and Hungary.
During the five-week Study Abroad program, students will have the opportunity to visit museums, cycle around the city, attend classical concerts, explore iconic landmarks, and travel to Salzburg, all while examining the fields of global journalism, public relations, and new media.
Courses offered include:
- Writing and Editing for Online Media: Mia Moody, Ph.D.
- Special Studies/Seminar in Mass Communication: Global Advertising & Public Relations: Marlene Neill, Ph.D.
- Gender, Race & Media: Mia Moody, Ph.D.
- PR Writing: Marlene Neill, Ph.D.
To enhance accessibility, we are willing to waive prerequisite courses and welcome students from other majors to join us.
